WRITER CREATES INSPIRING VIDEO

Dear Friends,

About a year ago I reviewed a delightful book called PEEKING OVER THE EDGE ... views from life's middle by Cathy Marley. Now Marley releases an inspirational video with original music, flowing poetry and beautiful words based on her book.

The video is a wonderful three minute visual that soothes the soul, raises the spirit and invites you to ponder what waits ahead on the pathways of life. Amazingly, Marley, who is already a talented writer and communicator created the video from her own photography, her own poetry and the music written by her grandson. The grandson, Jason Marley, who overcame a devastating accident two years ago where he lost a leg at the age of 18, took his grandmother's book, photography, and poetry and composed an original and unique music score called The Edge Of Reason.*
If the "proof is in the pudding" than this colorful video is indeed a delicious dessert. It has just the right mixture of blissful moments of relaxation, appreciation, and adventure as you travel the exciting visuals, words and music of Marley's newly created world. Treat yourself and see how wonderful this new world is. Then double your delight and buy the book.

To see the video log onto http://www.cathymarley.com/. This site takes you to You Tube where the video is featured. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

*Full credits for the music and video are posted with the video's showing. For further information contact Cathy Marley with e-mail to Cathy@CathyMarley.com

Forever Perfect ... Crustacean in Beverly Hills

Hi Friends,

Not new, but forever perfect, Crustacean, The An Family Restaurant in Beverly Hills left us "walking on water" after a recent dine out with friends who flew in from Scottsdale, Arizona (home of it's own posh resorts and restaurants.)

The menu, service, food, atmosphere, and overall beauty at Crustacean made every moment a really chic and trendy ... what you would expect, night out in Beverly Hills.

What impresses the most is the wonderful way you are treated by everyone from the hostesses, to the servers, to the valet, to Ms. An herself as she comes out and warmly greets each table. Everyone in our party loved the food, drinks, desserts, and coffee.

We had been at Crustacean before but every time we return we find it to be a new and memorable experience. We did need reservations, lots of money, and remember to be dressy casual. Totally Perfect!

Check out the web site for sample menu, gorgeous pictures and needed information for reservations.

Media Talk - Politics, Weather, A Dead Princess, and Notes

I watch on one of the morning news shows the latest report on money - how much, how much more, who from, who can give, who can't give, they are talking about Hillary Clinton and the race for the democratic presidential nomination. Then I see the ads for the Michael Moore movie Sicko and I read how parents who are concerned about the levels of violence in television and movies are trying to influence a change to protect their children from intrusive images.
Latter clips from the concert for the late Princess Diana are showing her two son's trying to honor their mother while millions and millions of people still mourn her death of ten years ago. Another morning show commercial features a model giving the history of laxatives and encourage people to buy the latest modern market drug to take care of an "age old" problem. Before I can even begin to relate to all of the myriad messages coming through - the weather man informs everyone that Phoenix, Arizona could reach a high of 117 degrees this week.

All of this barrage of information in just a few minutes. I make a note to filter out more and take in less. And yet media, information, communications is my business. How does all this "pop culture" relate to my own life? Do I still grieve for Princess Dianna? - no ... Do I care who makes the nomination for president of the United States?- I should ... Do I need to know what goes on in the health care system? - probably ... the only word that comes to mind is the need for balance. Perhaps balance in my life as to what is truly important for me to know, to integrate, to file away or to ignore.

I think the final conclusion is a conscious decision for how I spend my own time and energy. I make additional notes to set priorities on a daily basis, keep a more consistent journal, and take time each day to clear out from my spirit any and all unwanted and unnecessary energies. Usually, when I do this little routine, I immediately notice a huge difference in the quality of my life. How do you handle the information, electronic, and media driven world? What if any is your choice for balance? Where do you draw the line?

Bye for now,

OGRES AND PENGUINS = SUMMER FUN

Hello Readers,
Over the weekend, an opportunity to see two movies presented itself and so two movies it was ... Dream Work's - Shrek the Third and Sony Pictures Animation - Surf's Up.
* First Movie - C+
I thought Shrek the First was new and refreshing. I did not see Shrek the Second. I saw Shrek The Third but I did not especially like it. I know this remark is almost "unamerican" given the popularity of the green ogre. But through the whole movie, I only heard the kids in the audience laugh (and barely) a couple of times. Then when leaving the movie, I heard a boy sum up the laugh factor by saying "That wasn't as funny as I thought it was going to be." There were so many characters (not memorable) in the story line, keeping track of everyone during the movie is a full time occupation. I liked the little newborn Shreks, the tiny cross dino/donkey babies flying around, and the whole underlying being a father thing going on with Shrek. However I did notice outside of the animals and the ogres, all human "cgi" are white, rather stupid, and very predictable. Everyone seems to be enthralled with using the words poop, barfing, and farting which are in nearly every scene. Like I said the audience looked and acted bored - maybe when we are stuck in Shrek land, this is all we have available. I give the movie a "c+" for the parts played by Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas. I understand a new Shrek is already underway so I guess a good many people really love the series, especially the kid set, whatever their ages. Maybe the next one will measure up to the first. To get all the details on Shrek The Third go to the web site - http://www.shrek.com/
for all things Shrek.

* Second Movie - B+
In a pre-screening last Saturday, I saw Surf's Up - I really thought the animation beautifully done: the blue colors of the ocean, the penguin surfers, the bright flowers and a sky with puffy white clouds. I think kids and adults will love this movie. The music is great and carries through the surfing ambiance while star Cody the penguin learns the thrills and the dangers of riding the waves. Voice overs for characters; Cody, Tank, Lani, Geek and Chicken Joe are wonderful with a full flavor of the hip, beach, lingo. Having lived on the beach for eight years here in Southern California where surfing is a way of life, I thought the writers and animators did an excellent job of showing non-beach goers what this life in the sun is really like. The story line is also great fun as someone thought to be lost and gone turns up alive. To see how this surf-off plays out, treat yourself and your family to two hours of summer delight. For a look at movie clips go to http://www.surfsup.com/
. This is one movie everyone will want to see more than once and I give it a B+ except for those little penguins, I give them an A.

Movies, Books, Websites, Special Events

Dear Readers,

I know I have been gone for a few weeks. I took time away to revise and integrate new aspects of my creative life into my professional life. But now I am back, down to business of writing again and liking the changes in the new "eblogger".

I also have an additional blog called Destiny Bright where I will be writing about all the mystical, spiritual and intuitive things going on. I intend using this blog - amberonline for reviews.

I love doing reviews and I live in this area where I constantly have access to movie premiers, book signings by the "rich and famous", special events with celebrity appearances, art openings - television, and well you get the concept I am sure. So while I am here in this huge metro of LA, I am taking advantage of people to see, places to go, and things to do. Then I will report back to you what the experience has been like.

I will also try to post pictures to make things even more interesting, especially unusual sightings or happenings. Please come back and check in for upcoming reviews, insights, pictures and interviews. Please leave comments and make suggestions too.

Write to editor: ambersilverstar11@yahoo.com or visit on the web at www.ambersilverstar.com or see the latest designs at http://www.cafepress.com/ambersilverstar. The new website is http://destinybright.blogspots.com

Dreams, Stock Market, New Book and Edgar Cayce

For sometime now, I keep dreaming about the stock market - symbols, precognition, story lines, warnings, and actual investment opportunities. After having documented these dreams for several years, I found an article about stock market dreams in a magazine called Venture Inward published by the Edgar Cacye Foundation. A man named Walt Stover had written this amazing article dealing with a group called the Precognitive Stock Market Dream Group which Mr. Stover had started.

At the time, I did not own a computer, so I contacted Mr. Stover by phone and shared the stories of my own history of stock market dreams, clairvoyant messages, and channeling from Mr. Cayce. I will not at this time go into how my stock market dreams and an introduction to Mr. Cayce, the famous sleeping prophet began, except to say that part of it happened when a book about Mr. Cayce called There is A River (*by Thomas Sugrue) fell off a library shelf in a friend's home and hit me in the head.

From this time forward, I found more and more about Edgar Cacye and his incredible gifts of prophecy, intuition and medical healings. I also received extra sensory messages about the stock market. Since I knew very little about this financial world nor did I hold any investments, I kept trying to understand why all this information would appear to me. That is until I read Mr. Stover's article. I would like to say I jumped on the band wagon and joined the dream group right away. But I did not. In fact, I only joined a couple of years ago after much prayer and thought that I had a responsibility to share this information with others and through the group had been given an opportunity to do so.

Now Walt Stover, who has a Bachelors in Chemistry Engineering and a Masters in Transpersonal Studies, has written a book, newly released by Hudson Publishing called Dreams, My Lamp Unto The Darkness. This amazing book chronicles Mr. Stover's astonishing life in which dreams and the dreaming world provide him with fascinating information. This information Mr. Stover then interprets and uses as guidance for successes in his career, in maintaining an energetic and healthy lifestyle, and you guessed it, in doing quite well for himself in the stock market.

This avid, professional and precise dream enthusiast has taken over 15,000 documented dreams of his own, a long trail of precognition, and the articulate experience of his scholarship and crafted an interesting, thought provoking, and knowledgeable book. The book itself takes you along a personal and unique journey into the subconscious to uncover some of the mysteries of the dream world.

Dreams, My Lamp Unto The Darkness can easily be read by "the lay person." However, this is not an easy read nor a one night stand - because there is so much to absorb about such a complex subject, the reader will want to return again and again. Parts of the book are a scholarly review about the history of dreaming and how famous dreams of famous people have changed, influenced and guided decisions of historical figures for thousands of years. Since I have studied dream histories, this information is not new but still worthwhile as a clarifier and a review of the importance of dreams in the histories of humankind.

The part I like best about the book are the personal examples Mr. Stover uses to tell the tale of precognition dreams and the successes he has in using those dreams in just about all areas of his life. I am not sure I necessarily agree with "you must do this or that" in order to incubate, recall or interpret your own dreams as he suggest. Although, I do recognize the importance of having some "how to" guidance from someone as experienced and professional as Mr. Stover. This section is especially helpful to the beginning dream developer.

Enough said, I really do highly recommend this new book as well written, fascinating, and a "must have" for anyone who has an interest in knowing, understanding and exploring their own dreams. Oh yes, the Precognitive Stock Market Dream Group and their documentations of stock market dreams are in a wonderful chapter that will only begin to make you more and more curious about the process of precognition, the stock market and your own ability to dream of financial possibilities.

The book comes with strong endorsements by two major leaders; Dr. Henry Reed and Dr. Mark Thurston of the Edgar Cayce Foundation. For more information about the Foundation, the Association of Research and Enlightenment, Venture Inward and Edgar Cayce, you can long onto

700 Tiny White Lights And A Sad Surprise

A couple of Christmases ago, my husband bought for me the Christmas Tree of my dreams: almost eight feet tall, white, perfectly shaped and with seven hundred tiny, little, white lights. I always wanted a tree like this and I loved how beautiful it looked with all the sparkling Holiday ornaments.

There were in my Christmas past, times when my sons and I had no money for a tree and so I hung lights from the ceiling and filled an old chest with presents from my family and fixed little roasted hens I bought with food stamps. We laughed and thought how creative we were and how pretty the Section 8 apartment looked with the couch we found in the alley all covered with glitter and ribbons and friends laughing and singing. So I know all the commercial goodies are not a necessity when it comes to celebrating the love of each other on Christmas.

But ...

Late in the afternoon, on Sunday, we discovered a sad surprise, someone had broken into our storage area and had stolen the tree and all the ornaments and of course the hundreds of tiny white lights.

I guess whoever took all the storage contents must have been very desperate. I wonder if they knew all the memories connected with the ornaments collected, hand made and gifted from people who love us? Maybe the thieves needed the light, needed the memories, needed the love - if so I hope our treasures found new homes and that the people who stole the "dreamy white tree" will find a little hope in the seven hundred white lights to bring about much needed changes in their lives.

When this happened, I thought about the people who lost everything in Katrina, and the Sunami, and so many other natural disasters; compared to their tragedy, our loss is such a little one. But it made me stop and remember to be more appreciative and grateful and careful of those special possessions in our lives which show us the history of the memories we share.

I am not sure what we will do come this next Christmas - maybe donate some trees along with presents - maybe keep our light from within that can never be stolen but always shared- maybe learn a new way to build a treasure chest of Holiday memories. Since this is only February, I guess I have some more time to think about all this and who knows maybe the "dreamy white tree" and all the other treasures will be returned to us in a special way.

Time To Finish - 2007 Is A Year To Prepare For The Perfect Ten

Numerologically speaking this year 2007 is a nine. What this translates into, for the world according to numerological tradition, is a year of finishing all those projects, need-to-do goals, or dream-of-doing list that you have been working on for the past eight years. The reason for going into 2007 with this in mind is so you can finish any areas of your life that need completing. Then you are prepared for starting new things in the 2008 ... which comes out to a ten or one the second time around.

You live in a world of cycles. Recognizing cycles provides a greater understanding of the challenges you deal with as they appear, develop, blossom, bloom and return for review. Then when you have completed the cycle, you can move forward to another cycle. You will be prepared for experiencing even more of your destiny.

So if you choose, look at where you are with what has been going on in your life for the past eight years. In a journal or note book, write down all the things you intend to finish this year. Ask for guidance from a spiritual connection in your life. Keep the circles of completion moving, colorful and successful.

If you need help with understanding the cycles of your life, you can contact me for a free consultation at ambersilverstar@yahoo.com. Best Wishes for the New Year.

Holiday Angel Of Roses Brings Seasonal Greetings

You can now order the Holiday Angel Of Roses from Destiny Bright Designs (tm) byAmber Silverstar for the celebrations of this season. This beautiful angelic messenger in blue and silver, sprinkles her abundance of roses over the hillsides and the villages around the world.

As the designer, I created this art work over a period of several weeks. The celestial theme is from an inspiration given to me by my favorite aunt, Mrs. Dorothy Stevens who said she had a vision of an angel with peaceful, joyful words tumbling out over the world. Also, because I live in Pasadena, California - "the City Of Roses" - the design of the Holiday Angel of Roses seemed to be quite appropriate.

So I hope you enjoy this creation now available on so many wonderful products, wearables and decor from CafePress at http://www.cafepress.com/ambersilverstar.

The Seasonal Changes

This may seem like an unusual time to write about intuition but I think it may be the perfect time. The reason is, the Holiday Season and the heavy demands it makes on your time, energy, thoughts, and relationships. You may be required to make a lot of decisions about a lot of choices which you do not think you are equipped to handle. Plus, your emotional self may be "all over the place." In addition, you might experience stress over what to do, how to do it, whom to do it with, plus when and where.

The "it" is a huge list of changing and challenging opportunities and possibilities of the cycles of celebrations. For this, I am offering a tool which is a great resource for you to use, it doesn't cost anything and you have it immediately available: your intuition.

With your intuition and a few positive affirmations you can stay-in-touch with your dreams, desires and wishes for the type of Holiday that works for you. As for the affirmations, try saying, "I say yes to a wonderful, fun, loving, exciting, joyful, beautiful Holiday of my dreams." Then you can add "I am always at the right place at the right time doing the right thing." or "I expect only the best to happen and it does." Saying and writing these words will keep you in a positive frame of mind, heart and spirit so that your intuition will come bursting through with bright ideas, energy, and even the funds to support your Holiday visions.

If you still have further concerns about this incredible time of the year, you can call me for help at amber 1-626-796-8605 and remember to "Keep your destiny bright, use words of love."
