DISNEYLAND HAPPINESS

DEAR READERS,

I KNOW DISNEYLAND IS A VERY MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISE...HOW EVER I AM A BIG FAN.  AS SPRING COMES CONSIDER SPENDING A FEW DAYS IN BEAUTIFUL SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. STAY IN ONE OF THE INCREDIBLE HOTELS ON THE CAMPUS OF THE RESORT. THE EXTRA MONEY IS WORTH NOT HAVING TO NEGOTIATE THE TRAFFIC, NOISE AND SHABYNESS OF SOME OF THE SURROUNDING MOTELS. 

TRY TO BREAK UP YOUR DAY WITH GREAT LIVE PERFORMANCES, PARADES, EATING AND SHOPPING. FOR MONEY BUY PRE-LOADED DISNEY CARDS AND YOU WON'T HAVE TO CARRY AROUND EASY TO LOOSE CASH OR OTHER PERSONAL CARDS. IT ALSO MAKES IT EASIER TO KEEP TRACK OF HOW MUCH TO SPEND.  

EAT LIGHT BUT EAT OFTEN AND CARRY PLENTY OF WATER BOTTLES. IF YOU ARE GOING TO VISIT THE PARKS AT NIGHT CONSIDER MAKING EVERYONE TAKE SOME DOWN-TIME MID AFTERNOON OR TAKE A SWIM. 

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA HAS FAST CHANGING WEATHER SO BRING AND WEAR LAYERS. LEAVE YOUR FILP/FLOPS AT HOME. LITTLE ONES AND EVEN BIG PEOPLE ARE MUCH SAFER IN WHOLE SHOES. CAMERAS ARE A MUST. THE GROUNDS ARE A RAI NBOW OF BLOOMING SPRING TREES, BUSHES, AND FLOWERS. REMEMBER HATS, SUNSCREEN AND FIRST AID ITEMS.

AS I SAID I AM A BIG FAN. I HAVE HAD SO MANY WONDERFUL TIMES AND MEMORIES. NOW, I AM READY TO GO AGAIN AND GET ME SOME OF THAT DISNEYLAND HAPPINESS.

WHY THE POPE?

DEAR READERS,

So much media coverage over choosing a new pope.

Having been brought-up Catholic, I can understand the ritual, tradition, and pageantry which has with all its' color, power and mystic the ability to mesmerize our visual needs for stimulation and our ego needs for information. But does a group of self-important men electing another male representative of an institution filled with secrecy, corruption, and abusers really deserve the constant aggrandizement of its' wealth and patriarchal control?

I find it impossible to believe any organization whose members exclude women, hoard wealth, and abuse children truly carries the love of Christ and the word of God. This is indeed the pollution of the priest craft ... I do not care how pretty the red robes and how bright the glitter of gold and jewels.

Maybe there is a pope who will be elected who will give all that the church has to the needy of the world, who will allow women to be ordained, and who will become protectors of every child's well being. This is a Catholicism I could then respect in today's world and any world to come: a prayer for balance, goodness and love. This is news I could celebrate, share, and understand.

WHO WILL WIN?

IT IS OSCAR TIME AGAIN.

LIVING HERE IN LOS ANGELES I AM ALWAYS AWARE OF THE ACADEMY AWARDS THERE IS SO MUCH EXCITEMENT IN THE AIR. WE WILL WATCH AT HOME THE RED CARPET AND THEN THE AWARDS SHOW ITSELF.

WHO DO YOU THINK WILL WIN? DO YOU PLAN TO SEE ANY OF THE WINNERS AT THE MOVIE THEATERS? ALTHOUGH MORE EXPENSIVE THESE DAYS, I STILL LOVE THE BIGGER THAN LIFE SCREEN IN THE MOVIE THEATERS AND PLAN TO SEE SEVERAL TOP FEATURES.

I REALLY LIKE BEN AFFLECK AND ARGO. I ALSO LIKE LINCOLN. WELL WE SHALL SEE. THE AWARDS NITE WILL BE INTERESTING ESPECIALLY THE RED CARPET.

THE POWER OF THE NOW ALWAYS

I THOUGHT I KNEW ABOUT  LIVING IN THE POWER OF THE NOW  ... IN THE MOMENT WITH INTUITION, INSIGHTS, AND INSPIRATION. THEN ON DECEMBER 4, 2012 I HAD A STROKE WHICH LEFT ME PARALYZED ON THE RIGHT SIDE.

I HAVE PROCESSED A LOT SINCE THEN, TO HELL AND BACK, ASKING WHY ME - WHY NOW. I CAME UP WITH LOTS OF ANSWERS. BUT IN THE END IT IS BACK TO STAYING IN THE MOMENT WHERE I AM MOST INTUITIVE AND I WILL SEE WHERE THIS JOURNEY WILL TAKE ME AND WHAT I AM LEARNING.

I AM GLAD TO BE BACK, TO BE ALIVE, TO BE SHARRING.

NO ONE IS EVERYONE: BOOK REVIEW

Ethereal Mantras, Affirmations and Notions for Placid and Peaceful Earth Plane Traversal by No One also known as ANTHONY ROGERS

A few weeks ago at a writer's conference I met a young man wearing this fantastic T-shirt with wonderful, fantasy art featuring dolphins, the I-ching, a mountain lion, a light house and much more ... all superimposed over each other in a swirling color graphic of the Universe. When I asked about the T-shirt logo, I learned  it was also the cover of a book and the T-shirt wearer; the author.

The book is called Ethereal Mantras, Affirmations and Notions for Placid and Peaceful Earth Plane Traversal.  The author for the book has chosen NO ONE as the writer's name but he is in his professional life called Anthony Rogers. He explained to me that "he is no one but also everyone." In a way I understood his efforts to change our consciousness in the how a person sees their own self through super egos defined by labels instead of the real "I AM" defined by the true self.

Since our meeting, I have ordered the book, read it through several times, and spent meditative moments trying to absorb the book's message.

* THE STARTING POINT:

OBAMA IS THE RIGHT CHOICE

DEAR FRIENDS;

There are many choices to be made politically in the next few months. I would hope all of us would give much thought, prayer and research into the issues of finances, health, military use, educational needs, immigration reform and so much more.

And after we do, to make choices we can be proud of.  For me, my choice for this election will be President Obama to continue in his efforts to lead the country in a positive, prosperous and peaceful direction.
